UPDATE: Beginning Monday, January 3, 2022, our Lyndhurst office location will reopen and begin seeing patients onsite on a limited basis. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 (Coronavirus) concern, patients must be symptom-free and are required to wear a face mask at all times in order to be seen in our office

If you have recently scheduled a Skype or telephone-based appointment with one of our doctors at Ridge Foot and Ankle Associates, you are required to complete the below Telehealth Consent Form. This form must be completed prior to your scheduled appointment time. Failure to complete may lead to a delay in your appointment or complete cancellation and reschedule.

How do I know if I have COVID-19?

If you have fever or cough, have been in direct contact with a person with COVID-19, or live in an area of community spread you should call your primary care provider for next steps and consult with a medical professional.

What should I do if I think I have COVID-19?

The majority of people may feel like they have a common cold or even have no symptoms at all. Being proactive and honest about your symptoms is the best way a medical professional can determine the appropriate course of action and next steps in treating your illness. Contact your primary care provider for next steps.

If you have any difficulty breathing, please proceed to the nearest Emergency Department immediately. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911.

Can I come to ridge foot and ankle associates if I am concerned?

Our office does not treat or see patients who show symptoms or feel they may have COVID-19, as we are a specialty practice servicing only podiatric and related services. We encourage you to consult your primary care provider for further information or course of treatment.

What is ridge foot and ankle associates doing to ensure safety of others? 

To promote social distancing, we are offering telemedicine and Skype services for those who are established patients, as well as requiring new patients with existing appointments to reschedule for a later appointment date. Remote services will be available Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm. All providers will be participating in remote services, however we recommend you contact your insurance company if you have any questions about provider participation and any related questions. We always hold our Ridge office location to a high standard of hygiene and safety and we are following CDC guidelines, sanitizing our equipment, and cleaning our exam rooms thoroughly preparing for reopening at a later date. We want to assure everyone about how we sanitize our office, we follow all universal precautions on a daily basis:

  • All rooms are wiped down fully on all surfaces between every single patient with disinfecting wipes (that kill all viruses including the Coronavirus),
  • Plastic barriers are placed where appropriate.
  • All instruments are sterilized.
  • The entire office is cleaned daily and the waiting area is wiped down with disinfectant wipes throughout the day.
  • Everyone washes their hands between every single patient with antibacterial soap.

You can be rest assured we are following all the appropriate guidelines regarding cleanliness and disinfection of our entire office and instruments.

If you have traveled to a location (international or local) where cases of COVID-19 has a high risk of community transmission, please call your primary care doctor for appropriate next steps.
